HyperCLOVA X THINK
HyperCLOVA X
Naver's reasoning model, built around Korean rather than translated into it.
Updated
The read
HyperCLOVA X THINK is trained on Naver's own Korean corpus, which is why it handles Korean context, honorifics and register in a way a globally trained model does not. Inside Korea it is the safe institutional choice, with sovereign hosting and a thousand-odd enterprises already on it. Outside Korea there is little reason to pick it: closed weights, limited English documentation, and English performance that trails the field.
Where it shines
- Handles Korean register and honorifics better than global models
- Sovereign Korean hosting, which public sector buyers require
- Large existing enterprise deployment base
Worth knowing first
- Little reason to choose it outside Korea
- Closed weights and sparse English documentation
