HY3 is Tencent's hybrid model: it decides whether a question deserves a quick answer or a reasoning pass, so you are not paying for deliberation on trivia, and its pricing is very low. Tencent has since released Hy4 Preview, a much larger open model under Apache 2.0, which makes HY3 the cheaper, older option. Availability outside China is patchy and the English tooling is sparse.
